08 Jan, 2008How does it feel to be a Satara grower?Long-time grower Peter Glubb has been one of the Satara family for more than 20 years since his own company became part of the Satara co-operative. He has been growing green kiwifruit since 1981, and chose Satara because it was a well established company with the critical mass to reduce costs as a post-harvest operator.
“They have always been forward thinking, and they have smart directors and staff and because of that they have enhanced growers’ investments. Over the years I have asked the hard questions and have very close relationships with staff.
They’re looking after my investments and I can now focus more on my own orchard. Satara have stepped up their management systems and their excellent tech transfer system allows me to grow high quality fruit.
I’d say I’m an average grower with a very good system.”
Peter says he has always had a positive relationship with Satara and has seen the results.
